I picked up an oddity at a shop a couple days ago. A 1947 dated M44 Mosin Nagant carbine with a PU scope and mount. When I asked to see it I was shocked to see it priced at only $150 as I figure the scope and mount alone must be worth at least that.
The scope is dated 1942 with a 1967 rebuild/inspection date. The mount appears to be original as well.
Of course, the Soviets never mounted scopes on the M44, so someone built this up sometime. I'm probably going to hunt for an ex-sniper M91/30 to mount the scope on eventually.
