Whoa up a minute there.

Before you go rebuilding a brand new shotgun, why not give it a good cleaning to get the factory preservative out of it first, and then GO SHOOT IT SOME as it is?

Plenty of time to be changing stuff later on if you really decide it's critical (Hint- IT ISN'T). Meanwhile spend your money on range time and practice ammo for a little while at least...

Check You Tube for a ( How-to-Video )

You can find multiple video's on this You Tube search link.

Find one that you understand and can work through. Order your part prior to
field stripping your shotgun.

Work in and area where you can lay the parts out properly and thoroughly clean your shotgun while it's apart. I really like Breakfree CLP to clean parts.

Good luck bro, and welcome aboard here.

Its very easy, the mag tube is just threaded on.. but there really is no reason to change it out.. i had to change my steel follower out because it got dammaged, but i actually chose to go with a plastic blaze orange follower, it super easy to just make super sure it I have no ammo in the Mag tube..

hope you enjoy and safe shooting.

thanks tanks the reason i want to take it out is so i can put a red follower in instead of the black one and i also want to put a stronger spring in it . i tried to unscrew it but it wont unscrew any advice?

You will need a strap wrench from the plumbing department of the hardware store. Do not use any sort of pliers with teeth. Put the receiver in a well padded vise and unscrew the mag. Grab the tube at the end where it's solid, not in the middle. You may need to warm the receiver with a hair dryer.

I know some magazine tubes are screwed in tighter than others,, but when I removed mine for the first time a while back, I was able to do it by just holding the stock between my feet and and using a pair of garden gloves that had grippy rubber nubs ob them. I might try that first before going to a vise and a strap wrench.

I took the same approach, but instead of garden gloves, I used those plastic/rubber jar top grippers that people use to unscrew stubborn tops. It gives a great grip and won't mar any of the finish. A vise and a strap wrench may cause some damage to the finish, even with a cloth underneath.

This is besides the point, but the stock follower is metal.

I thought so too, even my Mav88 has a metal one. Hrm, to the OP, did you buy it new off the shelf or was it used?

Taking the mag tube off, follow the advice of everyone here. I'd recommend you get some teflon pipe tape for the threads when you put it back on.
