I know I am going to get some posts about .45s and others, but I put the limit on 9mm and .357MAG because in the past these are the two calibers I have shot the best. And so here it is:

In either of these calibers, which handgun used for concealed carry, has been the most accurate your HAVE fired?

The two best I have fired was a Ruger SP101 .357MAG 2 1/4" and a Glock 26.

The most accurate .357 mag that I have fired is the Ruger GP100, I had 4" at one time and I have 3" barrel. I also have a couple Smith .357 magnums as well.

9mm is a tough call, Ive shot many a 9mm and own a few but there is not one that jumps out at me as being more accurate than the others.

The S&W Scandium revolvers are extremely accurate, if you're talking about inherent accuracy. They're STIFF. I've also been able to shoot them accurately, for a few cylinders, maybe...

But really, I'm not sure what you mean.

It's not like I have ever shot a CCW gun in Bullseye, or concealed a Bullseye gun...

Is there a CCW gun with sights and a sight radius that would make it possible to judge the gun's potential for accuracy?

i don't have much experience with the .357 magmum.

in 9mm:

1. hk p7
2. walther p88 compact
3. sig/sauer p6
4. walther p99
5. fn hi-power

I have a Ruger New Model Blackhawk Convertible in .357mag/9mm and it shoots both rounds as accurate as any handgun that I've shot.

Not the type of handgun you'd look to for concealed carry though.

the most accurate handguns in 9mm i've ever shot that would also be suitable for carry have both been from H&K. the most accurate has been the P9S followed by the P7 (any of the 3 models)

in current production, and a bit more affordable would be the Sig 228 which is a great size for carry and every bit as accurate as the 226...at least mine are

my most accurate .357 mag for carry has been my 4" Colt Python...i even shot it in PPC competition against 6" guns before i switched the barrel to a 6" one.

the most accurate i've shot, belonged to a friend, was a Dan Wesson M15. it was just as accurate regardless if we had the 4" or 2.5" barrel mounted on it

This Beretta 92 with the target kit has exceeded my expectations for accuracy.

Note: neither the .22 or the 9mm slides and barrels came with the gun, they were purchases later.

I'm gonna catch a lot of flak for this. But.......

The most accurate 9mm I ever fired, (I've owned and fired hundreds) Is my glock 17. :what: I prefer my 1911 but that particular glock is as accurate as my accurized Kimber. Not to say that all glocks are that accurate but this ONE is.

.357... I have a sp101 that surprises a lot pf people with it's accuracy. Almost every S&W I've owned/fired were more accurate than most shooters.

I recently sold an older GP 100 that was a tack driver with the right load.

I had a SIG P210 that was super accurate and fit my hand like it was custom-made for me.

My first 6" Python was a real shooter as well; the Mustang grips I added looked good and fit just right.

Yes, they were. Couldn't do much for their trigger pulls, tho...

Most handguns used for ccw are usually somewhat compact and regardless of caliber, generally not as accurate as their full sized target or combat sized guns.

The most accurate .357 I've ever fired was out of a Freedom Arms single action revolver, but it would be a very poor ccw choice.

I completely agree on the .357 Colt Python 4" barrel. The one gun I kick myself the most for selling.

I have an inexpensive but very reliable (not so a few yrs back) Taurus PT 24/7 Pro Compact SD 9mm. that I can finally shoot accurately. It took a lot of rounds and range time. (I lost the sight in my rt eye and have had to make some adjustments) But I love the fact that I've yet to have a single round jam. And I've shot about every 9mm rnd I can find through it. Very easy to clean. For the $ it's one of the best buys I've made in years. Thinking of getting the .45acp in the same model. Taurus use to be junk, but I now have 2 others (the Mod. 65 .357 rev. and an 8 shot .22 mag). A good buy imo, if you're on a tight budget. Not the same product they once were.

Personally, the most accurate 9 mm I have ever shot is a Sig 229; amazing how easy it is to be accurate with this gun.

In 357 mag it would be a Ruger sp101. I have shot a S&W Highway Patrolman and Ruger Sec Six, Both w/4" barrel quite accurately, but I don't know if that would fit the CCW profile

Note, there are several gun maker's whose products in these calibers I haven't shot, so my input is limited...

In 357 the Colt Python is hard to match since it was designed as a target revolver.

In 9mm there are plenty that have already been mentioned but I will go ahead and do it again.

HKP7-pretty well known for its inherent and practical accuracy.
HK P9S- probably more accurate than the P7 but lesser known by the masses
Sig 210- regarded as the most accurate service pistol ever produced
