I know some of you Glock fanatics collect several of the various models - which is close enough, in my opinion, to say you are collecting a lot of the same model (if not the EXACT same model).

Anyone else do this besides me? I have seven variants of the Beretta 92FS, and will likely collect more in the future. I have 2 that I use as carry and heavy use guns. The rest are more for collecting, with some limited range use thru each.

I like that they are still different enough to not be the EXACT same model. But, as they are on the same platform - practice with any of them transfers to practice with my carry guns (since they are close enough)...

So, let's see your pics of multiples of the same gun :)

I do, I own 2 different 1911s and plan on owning a whole bunch more (My next will most likely be in the next couple months, and after that I want a .22LR model/conversion kit). I also chose my Sig P238 over other pocket pistol options because of it's obvious similarities in function and handling to the 1911 platform.

Like you, I like the fact that practicing with one of them is in a sense like practicing with all of them. Plus I love 1911s, gotta have 'em all!

Just three HP's so far.
Top to bottom: FNH HP-SFS(carry)
BHP Standard(safe queen)
BHP Practical(carry)

I've sure got a lot of 1911 variations, but only two are exact duplicates, except for the sights. I've a pair of RIA Tacticals one with a fiber optic from, the other with a Burris Fastfire red dot.

If you collected a sample of every Glock model and variations thereof, you would have a pretty good sized collection.

There is a gun on the forum I am admin of with like 25 Glocks - he posted a photo...

You guys sure do carry some big heavy guns. I would get tired of the bulk in about a week

I got tired of the bulk but it took more like 5 years.

One for carry, the other for carry.

I carried small guns for most of my CHL lifetime (since 1996). I started carrying larger guns in the past 2 to 2.5 years... The Beretta 92FS has been my carry gun since Nov 2009.

I actually feel strange WITHOUT it on...

I don't buy multiples of the same exact gun, but if I find a platform I like I have no problem buying different variations of it. I have 2 1911's, and plan to add more. I also have 2 S&W N frames, though one was gifted to me shorty after I bought my first one.

No pics, but down the road, I'd like to increase the family of Czs and variants (right now, one Cz, one Witness) and S&W .45ACP revolvers. Most of my others I intend as something like singletons, though more 22/45 variants would be welcome, too. I like my others, or I wouldn't have bought them, but those are my favorite in 9mm and .45, so I'd like to explore variations on that theme. Maybe the 625 will get a companion in .22LR; I do enjoy .22 revolvers, but have thus far only rented them, rather than owned.

My handgun collection is presently comprised exclusively of 1911 variants including the following:

Wilson Combat CQB Compact
Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special
Springfield Armory TRP
Springfield Armory MC Operator
Springfield Armory EMP 9
Kimber Eclipse Target II
Kimber Royal II

They all see range time, but only the CQB, TRP and EMP see carry time. Additionally, all are chambered for .45 ACP with the exception of the EMP.

I don't do that unless you count all revolvers as being the same. In that case I have lots of revolvers but no two are just alike.

Ruger
Dan Wesson
Colt
Charter arms
S&W

38special, 357mag, 44mag, 44 special, 38S&W, 22LR

Long barrels, short barrels, medium barrels, heavy barrels, pencil barrels

single action, double action, top break, spur trigger,

Another benefit of this (for me) is that I save $$$ on gear. I can reuse most of my holsters on multiple weapons. For every weapon I buy, I'll need a holster or two and mag carriers. That could be $100-$250+ worth of gear by the time you buy double mag holders, single mag holders, OWB holsters and/or IWB holsters. Times are tough all over.

2 Walther P99s (one black, one military) 9mm. I used to have three but one was exchanged for a PPS by S&W when it couldn't be repaired.
2 Browning Hi Powers
3 Bersa Thunder 9s (2 UC and 1 Fullsize).
2 FN FNPs (1 9mm, 1 .45).
1 Walther P88 1 Walther P88 Compact
3 1911s (1 S&W 1911Sc Commander, 1 Colt LW Commander, 1 American Classic 5")
