To celebrate the founding of this nation I went out to the range and took a family friend with me on Sunday. I didn't do much shooting because I my friend had never shot anything before so i wanted her to shoot as much as she felt comfortable shooting. She probably put 200 or so rounds through my Ruger Mark II and really really enjoyed it. She said to me after words, “That was a really good stress reliever” I have been saying that for years, but most of the time people just look at me funny. The only bad thing was that she ended up with a burn on her face when 22lr brass ended up between the eye protection and her face. That was my bad. I should have made sure the eyes were fitted better. Over all everyone had a good time. It was also good to see young children and there parents at the range.
For anyone that cares, I was at Reed's Indoor range. I was reminded of how much better that facility is than another one close by. Cleaner, well lit, staff that is paying attention, yeah... overall just better. If you are in the San Jose area and want to shoot, you should look at reed's
