Like and like. I have a CZ 550 magnum action that I am having a 600 Overkill built on. It's definitely a big strong action. Also have a Ruger #1 in 458 Lott. It's up there in power while not having the recoil of some of the bigger rounds. Have you shot yours much, or did you just pick it up?
I shot a 470NE a few times. Now that was fun! The 550 is a great rifle and the 458 is no slouch. I just have a lowly 45-70, but I am drooling over a Win M70 in 375H&H.
Hi thanks for your answers, I have the rifle in a while, but so far I have had ammunition to prove the power of the cartridge fired. I have to wait for ammunition reloading the 458 Lott and that goes for long.
The CZ550 is a very stout rifle. They shoulder well and are true magnum length actions. The 458 Lott is an excellent round. You can shoot 458 Winchester Magnum rounds in the riffle as well. Kinda like shooting a 38 Special in a 357 Magnum revolver. Hunting Shack Munitions and Wisconsin Cartridge Corp both offer non-premium loads at non-premium prices in 458WM. Accurate Powder Co. 5744 can be used to reload reduced loads.
