A short time ago I found in the bottom of a box of junk a leather disc that is about 2 1/2 inch in diam. with 12 holes on each side that holds #11 caps. It works very well but it is somewhat stiff and I looked at expanding on the idea. Simple 3/8" wide strips glued together with holes to hold the caps. It works especially well for capping rifles with just a minor bending of the leather and the cap is in place. Most likely someone has done this in the past and I just never saw it but what the heck I have to do something to pass the time other than just watching the boob tube.

Yes, That is a very old idea, but a good one. Cut a slit from the side into
the hole. That way after capping, just pull the leather away.

Know the feeling. After a very violent arguement with the wife I went into
the bedroom and shut the door. Then here she come, down on her hands and
knees crawling on the floor right up to the edge of the bed. She looked under
and said, "Come out from under there you little bastard, I'm not thru with you
yet!!!

Dang Walkers210, I should buy that howitzer myself. It has an oak carriage and that makes all the difference. It's also rifled.

I would but then I would have to buy a couple good horses to pull it around. Would have to hire contractor to add a garage door in the spare bedroom (no way in heck would it stay outside or in garage). What neighbors I have are very tolerant of the rifles I shoot in the back yard, but think they might just frown on this one. And the biggest thing is after the wife learned how to load and shoot I would never get another turn.

At 1/2 lb of powder per shot, it would be an expensive one to feed. But the cool factor is waaaaayy up there.

the way you win arguments about guns with the wife is simple.
Its the last one for a while. I promise.
Then when she is not looking sneak another into the collection.
and she is gonna say " I dont remember that one." Your answer of corse is " Hunny I showed that one to you 9 months ago dont you remember. Just make sure you can duck really fast LMAO.

1/2 pound per shot isn't bad. A couple of horses? Check out a pack carriage. NICE little gun- wish I had it!

lol. Put that cannon in front of your house
and install one of those tourist-binoculars on
property border. Fixed. So it points straight into the muzzle.
