I'm thinking about getting a Benchmade Rukus or Mini-Rukus. Anybody have experience with these knives? They have the Axis lock which I love, but they look like they'd fill the hand a little better.
I covet those knives. They are so beautiful, the Rukus I mean. I bought a Mini-Griptilian brand new in the box once for $8. It's clipped on my pocket right now.
I love it. It has the FRN, and I got it for 20% off, so it was $64. It's got dark green scales. Solid lockup, easy to open. I still prefer thumb studs, but I can use the Spyderhole okay. I don't think this will be my last Spyderco.
Friend, this is where you and I part ways. I can use a thumbstud, but I will take a nice round spyderhole any day of the week. Other than the axis lock, one of the main reasons I love my griptilian so much is that it has a hole as opposed to a stud. Needless to say, this is also one of the big reasons why I just bought an Endura to compliment my Grip and my Native....
Been carrying a CRK large classic Sebenza for the past 3 years. I bought about 25 edc knives trying to find the perfect one until I finally picked up a Sebenza. Since then I haven't purchased another knife and don't think I will unless I lose it
I've been EDCing my Kershaw Leek, it works good for the light work I normally do with it. If I got out of town or anticipate anything remotely heavy I normally get the BM Rukus.
I have loads of folders, everything from inexpensive knives from ACE Hardware to custom handmade. For the past few years I've leaned toward traditional folders and away from anything that clips on. I've just gotten so that I'd rather have a knife that rides deep in my pocket therefore not advertising to everyone that I carry a knife. The problem with most traditional folders is they can't be deployed quickly. That's led me to my current EDC, the Mcusta Take. It's got an ambi thumb stud (great for leftys like me), sharp as snot, solid lockup and a spear point. I have also become very fond of the Cocobolo scales which are not only nice to look at but feel good in the hand. So, while this isn't my favorite knife, it gets more pocket time than any of the others.
