these are pictures of the first rabbit pelt I have preserved. I left it fully coverd in a tub of borax for 6 days. im wonderin if I can put it in a picture frame to hang it on the wall or if I need to keep it out where it can get air. any help is greatly appticiated.

The borax isn't a preservative per se. It is a drying agent. I use it on pelts around tails and leg holes to speed up drying where air flow might be hampered. Merely fleshing, stretching and air drying will do the job very nicely.

Jimmy Ray is spot on.

One thing to add. Borax is not an insecticide so it will be very vulnerable to insects.

Google vandykes taxidermy supply. Then find the product called dry tan. You apply it like borax but it has insecticide in it as well. It's no more expensive then borax but will dry the skins at twice the speed and they will be safe from bugs.
