Vanguard7, very nice looking maverick! Where did you find a maverick in 20ga? All their website lists is 2 models and both are 12ga. I just bought my son an 88 security for Christmas, I didn't give it to him yet. I am a big 20ga fan and all my shotties are 20ga, it just works very well for me so I stuck with it. Dispite what a lot of people say, I like the 20ga over a 12ga anyday. Good luck with yours and shoot it often.

Buddy of mine picked up the 20ga field model at Academy for $160 a few weeks ago. He likes it more than my 12ga Mossberg 500s since he's a bit smaller than me.

I can sympathize. I never thought when I got my mechanical engineering degree I would ever be out of work, but I was for 6 months last year. The free trade agreements have not been a friend to Americans who work for a living.
You gun will do whatever you need it to until you can afford that Perrazzi.

I have an 88 in the 12 flavor.

My stepson gave it to me. When I got it, it had a barrel sawed down to 24 inches, a cracked forestock, and a speed feed pistol grip. For a little over a hundred I got a Mossberg woodstock from Havlins and a Mossberg 18.5 barrel off of Gunbroker and put it together. Took it out for a test run ( for more than a few times! ) and found it to be completely reliable. It took the place of my Spartan coach gun in the bedroom closet. Paid a good buck for the coach. Was always afraid some jackwagon would manage to get past the dog and steal it ( Yeah, right! Gotta see the dog! ). If it disappears I'll be pissed 'cause it's a present from him, but less pissed since I'm out less money.

the light is a brinkmann got it at home depot for $6.99 and it will blind you, the mount i got on ebay for about $8.00. but it took me hours to find it. it has rubber lineing and works great.
