more confused about old rifle

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well i appreciate your "opinions" about the rifle i just bought, but is there anyone out there who actually "KNOWS" about guns?....hahaha...just kidding...but seriously, c'mon guys, i took the butt plate off and looked EVERYWHERE else for ANY other markings, and the only serial numbers are OT-30665...i mind it amazing that there's no way to cross reference those numbers to find the maker of this rifle!!?? UMMMM, so, IF it is the 1916 version of a mauser, i went to the one site the person suggested and it had the largets selection of models to compare it to...Japanese, bulgarian, russian, italian, french, ETC....but that site didn't show any info , or pictures of the version you speak of, so where could i possibly find comparative pictures of the rifle, or a person , or site that can identify the rifle using the serial numbers? Any "other" information that ANYONE out therehas for me about this rifle would be GREATLY appreciated...the gunsmith i used to know passed away last year, and he was able to find information on any gun using the serial numbers...EVERY manufacturer of the Mauser i have seen so far puts a distinctive mark on the rifle "besides" the numbers, or "along" with the numbers, and this rifle has NO OTHER markings on it except for the OT-30665...welll, more confused about the rilfe and VERY frustrated....thank you for your help....

go to image hosting site load picture and post here. I think that would get you the answer you are looking for.

I have a vague recollection of some Mausers being made in late 1940's, early1950's with no identifying marks , made to be sent to Israel or some other place that had an arms embargo on it. I believe they were made in Czechoslovakia or Yugoslavia. But it was a Mauser pattern used by that country, so a couple of good picures are needed.
