NAA Customer Service

I recently inherited a naa 22lr mini revolver. When I received it the cylinder hand would only rotate the cylinder about 1/4 of the time, and the side plate wasn't in place properly. I realized that you void the warranty by removing the side plate, but I figured that it was already voided so I took it apart. Well after I got it back together the cylinder hand didn't rotate the cylinder at all. It had black plastic grips that were also broke in two, but remained in place. The revolver also didn't have a safety cylinder and it had a lot of gap between the cylinder and the barrel (It threw a lot of lead in my face). Well I kept the gun for a couple of months and during this time the grip screw fell out and I lost it. I actually do love this gun.

I finally sent it in to NAA and was told that it would cost $20 to "rebuild" the gun since i voided the warranty, but new grips were included for free with the rebuild plus I had to pick up shipping both ways. They would also replace the cylinder with a "safety" cylinder for free.

To make a long story short they sent me my gun which I almost didn't recognize. It looks brand new. They also didn't charge me the 20 for the rebuild; I only had to pay shipping. The gun no longer has any gap between the cylinder and the barrel and doesn't throw any lead in my face. I am really happy with them. I hope all other gun companies are this easy to deal with.

I have to add my 2 cents here, because I had a simillar experiance with their customer service and they where great to say the least.I bought a NAA MINI in a bag one time at a gun show. It had the old black plastic grips and a cylinder with out the safety slots. The finish looked bad a lot of scratches. I sent it to NAA in the bag still with a letter telling them I bought it this way used, asking them to call with a price to repair it. 3 weeks later it was returned to me completly rebuild with new grips. It looked brand new.

Dream on. NAA is famous for their customer service, very few companies are as consistently good.

I have to agree. A few years back I bought a used 22lr. I noticed the barrel was loose and sent in to NAA. They could not fix it so they replaced the gun with a brand new one, free of charge.

Great little gun. But here's a stupid question. What are safety slots? I carry mine with five rounds and let the hammer down between two cartridge heads so the firing pin comes down on the cylinder itself. Is this what you mean? Where can you get decent grips? I had to carve a pair out when those black phenolic resin issue grips broke.

That's correct. The earlier minis didn't have the slots cut into the cylinder. Mine doesn't, although NAA would cut the slots in at no charge if I sent it to them.

Where can you get decent grips?

Not sure what you're looking for, but here's an option:

Mini Grips

Or, you can order them directly from NAA:

More Mini Grips

Thanks for the help, I think I will not have the slots cut. It seems safe the way it is. Will try to locate the grips tho.\\Jon

Safety Position of Hammer?

I don't have one, but in handling one a friend had, he said it had a "half cock" type safety so the hammer couldn't impact the shell. It did had a position one click back; but is that what its for? Don't want him carrying around a gun in an unsafe condition.

I'm not sure if that's considered a safety or not. On my .22LR I have to put the hammer in that position to remove the cylinder for cleaning/recharging.

My Mini Master cylinder pin locked up and refused to be removed and they fixed it.

My only 2 criticisims would be it does seem like a lot of their guns DO require service, and second the gun store I bought it from wouldn't send it back for me, so it cost me nearly 40 bucks at Fedex to mail it!

I got it at Dunlaps Guns in Hurricane WV and am a regular customer there, but while I still get targets and ammo there, the next time I buy a new gun I am going to ask the store I get it from if they will send it back should it break.I don't think I will buy another new gun there.

ulflyer,

That "half-cock" notch in the hammer is NOT safe for carry with a loaded round under the firing pin. If dropped, should the revolver land on the hammer, that notch could shear, discharging the handgun.

The safety slots in the cylinder allow the firing pin to rest between chambers, effectively preventing this from occurring. The early models didn't have the cylinder slots. I purchased one in 1977. Due to experience with "old-style" Colt SAAs and replicas, I carried it as a 4-shooter, leaving an empty chamber under the hammer.

Recently bought a used .32 Guardian.

I called them and asked a few questions.
In a few minutes a package was on the way to the house.
I asked for: replacement mag release button, two flat mag bottoms, stainless hex grip screws.

I figured the mag release button would be free, but I knew the grip screws were $10 on the web page. I also calculated $6 - 8 for mag bottoms, and maybe $3.50 for shipping.

The lady says "I'll get it in the mail." (In a really sweet voice, by the way. :D )

So I said "Don't you want a credit card number?"
"No, there's no charge." she says.

I think I'm in love. :p
