NAA list a Guardian in 25NAA. From what I can tell on Internet searches this is a new cartridge designed by North American Arms. It looks to be a necked down 32 case to accept 25 bullets. Am I correct in this? Can this gun shoot traditional 25acp ammo? How readily available or easy to reload would this be? I assume dies do not exist for it.

Even if the performance is better than a 32 this seems like an odd and hard to sell niche caliber. Seems odd to me. Am I missing something?

I have a 32NAA proprietary cartridge, I get my ammo from CorBon, it's not as cheap as 380 and when comparing it to CorBon 380 ammo it isn't as impressive as other more standard loadings. You are correct in your assumption on the necked down 32 and I haven't seen dies but I'm sure they can be made if you'd send RCBS or other die company some representative cases.

Personally if I had to do it again I'd skip the NAA and just get the 380 KelTec that I now carry pretty much all the time. The NAA is not a light gun nor cheap.

Pretty much, although the case probably is made for what it is, not salvaged .32acp brass
and it isn't all that new, WP lists 1999 design and 2002 production

how? the chamber will be grossly oversized and the magazine feed lips wouldn't properly retain something much smaller than a .32 casing.
(and before you ask ... no, the NAA auto design doesn't lend itself to barrel changes, you won't be shooting .32acp out of it either)

On the one hand, bottleneck pistol rounds are interesting and have a number of advantages in MV & feeding
On the other hand, there are only a couple makers of the ammo and only the one gun to put it through (and those little NAA autoloaders may be pretty, but they aren't fun to shoot)
On the gripping hand, I have a RIA TCM pistol in .22TCM, so get it if it fills a need for you, but don't expect the cartridge to gain traction in the market. I wouldn't have bought that TCM if the gun didn't come with a conversion kit to 9x19 in the box.

I am interested in the RIA .22tcm mainly because (correct me if I am wrong) it is a high capacity 9mm. I look at it as a 9mm with a bonus (.22tcm). How has the function been for you with 9mm? Any issues

fantastic as 9x19, it even runs cheap crappy Tula nicely
if you get a TCM, you'll need an uplula mag loader, those last rounds are hard to get in there (and I used to scoff at mag loaders, the last 2-3 rounds for the TCM are as hard as the last rounds in a Glock 33x mag)

I have not yet arranged the TCM configuration to be at the range along with pumpkins or melons, but I expect great things. TCM is loud, and the slide cycling feels odd with the light recoil spring, but I'm quite pleased with the gun overall
