Thanks for sharing your experiences in dealing with Natchez. Any URL at which an order could be tracked?

I have used them many times. most recently I got TruGlo nite sites for 59.99 delivered for my XDm, very pleased.

Just got a Nikon Prostaff and some Hornaday ammo yesterday. I order regularly from Natchez and have never had a problem. When they ship they send you the tracking info.

They kill me with their high shipping prices... lure you in on a low item price, but delivered, they're usually more expensive from what I've seen.

Tracking information

I ordered some G23 magazines last week, and to date they have sent me no tracking information. Instead, they sent me an e-flyer! Is that their norm? I need to know when my order will be delivered.

Why won't they sell to residents of Alabama? (edited to add I just check their catalog and it states shipping is not available for Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia). Anyone know why this shipping is not available?

I have used them a fair bit, with complete satisfaction. I have never had an issue with order delivery.

Natchez is my first choice for ammo.

A while back, when .380 was scarse, I placed identical orders with Natchez, Cabella's and Sportsman's Guide, all about the same time. All said it was backordered.
Natchez delivered in a month, Cabella's in two, and Sportsman's Guide was telling me it was still backordered a YEAR later.

Never had a problem with them until this Christmas. They didn't stock up on inventory accordingly. Me and my family attempted to order probably 15 different items all the way from reloading press down to a simple pair of shooting glasses and they were backordered on everything until after Christmas.

MidwayUSA gets my business now.

Because their wholesale arm is Chattanooga Shooter Supply and wisely they do not want to compete with their retailers.
It is the reason I continue to use them, increasingly so. Were they to start selling retail I would drop them as a supplier immediately.

This is true. I just ordered a Talley mount/ring set for a Weatherby Vanguard rifle they were advertising as a "sale" price of a around $28.00. By time they computed the (cheapest) shipping price and their mandatory "handling" charge of $3.99, my credit card was soaked for $40.00 even. That's $12.00 for shipping and "handling" a relatively small and light weight mount/ring set. I'll think twice the next time they send me a "sale" catalog. :(

Update

Thanks for each input. I received the package today, and I am satisfied with the magazines.

I too have noted the "FREIGHT & INSURANCE" charge of $10.02 and the "HANDLING CHARGE" of $3.99. The package was not heavy.

Ordered a scope from them last month, and just today I recieved $300 worth of pills, brass, and other reloading supplies that I ordered on Tuesday. Shipping was a little high, but I had 25 different items so it worked nicely.

I have bought scopes from them, they are always on sale at a good price,If you look closely the shipping prices are so high you would have been better off buying it some where else.

One thing to keep in mind when using these large online mail order suppliers is that they do a very high volume of business with orders ranging from thousands of dollars down to a couple of bucks for single low cost items.

The law of averages says that you are going to get some problems, mistakes, omissions etc on at least a very tiny percentage of these.

Overall I think they do a great service.

Natchez always has the best prices, like the Nitrex scope closeout now, which by the way is a great scope and the shipping is not all that unreasonable for the items that I purchase. Not to dissimilar from Midway. However, if I am buying small pieces like screws or other small parts then I order from Brownells or Midway and shipping is done by mail for about 4 bucks. Usually use Brownells because Midway is incredibly slow.
