I bought an early 1970’s Model 670 30-06 a couple years back and the kids glommed onto it. I liked it enough that I bought an Extreme Weather 06’ last year for myself. The earlier one had a crappy cracked stock so I moved the B&C stock, bottom plate and five round magazine from the EW to it. I put the new one in a McMillan along with the four shot blind magazine from the 670.
NOW they both don’t feed right…
-The 670 jams on the second round and you have to jiggle the bolt and give it a second push.
-The M70 EW runs great when only fed two from the mag but ALWAYS jams on the third or pops it out on the ground.
They are both excellent rifles that shoot great. Is this a simple feed lip fix or do I have to get expensive? Hope that all made sense. Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks ahead.
