I own an SKS Semi-Automatic rifle that has been in my family for years that I want to get rid of. What is the best way to sell it/ price it? I have no idea. It is not registered as it has been packed away in it's case, up in the attic, for years. Also, by looking at the serial, is there a way to determine year of manufacture? Inscription says "made in China by Norinco." Specs are as follows:

SKS Semi-Automatic Rifle
Caliber- 7.62 X 39
Muzzle velocity 735m/s
aiming range 1000m
weight 3.85kg
length 1025m
mag capacity 10 rounds

With exception of almost imperceptible minor abrasions, excellent condition. Also comes with shoulder strap and 60 rounds ammo.
Any advice would be greatly appeciated.

General opinion is that only arsenal 26 SKS can be dated.
The opinion is that these ones(26) were made by the military and followed a sequence. If it says norinco then it was sold to the US as a commercial product and may have been made specifically for our market. This is only a guess
and not necessarily fact so please dont Flame just explain.
