Need help identifying revolver

european deffinately. Rather similar to the tranter revolver and the belgian "gasser". Still looks nice to have one.
 
Let's bring up the detail a little so we can see the thing.

My understanding is that the ejector mechanism (apparently missing here) swung out to the side. True?
 
Well if it is like mine it is some kinda 44. Ive been told it is a 44 British Bulldog. Thats all I can tell you except that the ejector is missing on mine too.
 
well i can answer what it is its a webley cloan they were made for a few years witht he most popular be the metropolitan police versions. i believe in 455 boxer but dont quote me on that. the give away is the crown with no webley markings if it is marked Webley it may be an original but i doubt it.

I found this old revolver on a table at a gunshow and paid $60 for it.
It was Belgian, with Brit proof marks, and was some weird 10.4mm cartridge that I had to fake with cut down 44 special brass and taper it down some more.
