It sounds like you have it identified already. Musgrave is/was a South African manufacturer. Pretty nice rifles, Mauser action, but nothing extrodinary. Google it and you will find some info.

She was a safe queen.

When I googled it I didn't find much info on it. I know it was made between 1971-76. There aren't any on gunbroker, auction arms, or guns America. Any idea on value?

Jeff

The rifle looks to be the "Premier" model (upgrade from the basic "Valiant" model) and appears to be in at least 98 % condition (from the photo). The rifle was manufactured from 1971 to around 1976. In the condition as it appears, it should fetch upwards of $450.00(low) to $550.00(high). A very nice, Mauser-inspired, bolt-action rifle.

Thanks for everyone help. I will forward with the information gathered here.

Thanks
Jeff
