Someone offered me their CZ 452 .22lr (it said CZ 452 ZE 2KM on the side) with a $90 scope mounted for a total of $299. Seems like a good deal, and I'd call the condition almost excellent.

But... I only want it if you can get target stocks and barrels for them. Preferably a thumbhole stock. I know they make a Varmint version with a bull barrel, so I don't see why not. Is there an aftermarket for this stuff? Thanks.

Yeah, I think this one is an American.

I really don't care for the standard style stock, but the action is quite good. Basically, I think I'm going to get it if I can find custom stocks somewhere. But I've been looking for about an hour and I've got no solid leads. Very strange.

Unless you want to pay to have a custom stock inletted there isn't much out there. You can buy replacement stocks from CZ, but I couldn't find any off the shelf options when I looked last year.

Post here if you find any. I would love a better stock for my military trainer version.

If anybody knew where to find an aftermarket stock for a CZ 452 it would be a guy who goes by Brookie at:

www.rimfirecentral.com

Look for him in the CZ forum there. He sells kits for doing trigger jobs to the CZ 452, and scope rings and such. If aftermarket stocks exist, my guess is that he would know about it. Hope that helps...

The first and third pics show some examples of his stocks.

Like it says, fully inlet, but unfinished and no buttplate.

Top quality stuff. There were some pictures posted not too long ago (rimfirecentral, etc.) of the beautiful rifle Mad built using one of Don Stith's stocks.

Since then Mad has had a match grade barrel installed. Not a do-it-yourself project - not by me anyway.

A post on benchrest.com said that a $300(IIRC) aftermarket match trigger for the CZ rimfire is about to hit the market.

Things are looking up for the CZ owners.

I think I heard about that $300 match trigger as well. If memory serves me, it's the trigger from a Walther biathalon rifle that happens to work in the CZ 452. I could be wrong on that, as it's been a while since I read about it...

I had to go look it up - couldn't remember. Read the post by twentytwoguru. It's about 5 down.

Aw, what the heck, it was only a click away:

"My gunsmith/partner and I are currently in a project to manufacture an improved version of the KK100 trigger you are all referring to.

Our prototype has existed on a test rifle for over 2 years now.

We have looked at the KK100 trigger, and have made about 7 or 8 improvements to the already good KK100 system which I will detail in a future post in about 3 weeks.

Yes, it will be a 3 lever, two stage design adjustable down to about 1 oz., possibly 1/2 ounce. You will be able to adjust it to single stage operation. Yes it will be able to be fitted to the popular CZ 452 Americans. You will have to route out the stock in the trigger area.

The CAD/CAD drawings are done, and programming code is written for our CNC Harding Superslant for production. We are now in what I would call prototype/production stage.

Triggers will not be sold outright. You will have to send your receiver in for the lower portion to be drilled and tapped where the trigger attaches. The KK 100 is just pinned in. Our method of mounting will be superior.

Our current target price for a trigger including installation will be about $280-$300, and we are about 6 weeks away from accepting orders.

I have deliberately kept quiet about this until we were close to being ready, which was quite difficult because I am very excited about it. A lot of tears, frustration, time, and money have gone into this project, but now it's coming to fruition.

Thanks for your patience, and i'll let everyone know more soon.

Oh, and by the way, our action is almost ready too!"
