Need Low Recoil Load for 9mm

jwrowland77, if your wife has been shooting 9mm NATO rounds, most of our mid-range 124/125 gr bullets loaded to around 1000 fps will feel wimpy in comparison.

Actually, during qualification at Basic, she was at sick call due to the weather. She was pretty pissed about missing out too. So actually to surprise her, I'm going to buy her an AR if I can find one locally that way she can shoot one, and let her customize it anyway she wants. Plus it'll give me something new to load for. Hehehe

She's graduating today from Tech School so she hasn't shot anything as of yet.

She has a Walther 22lr pistol and likes it, but wants to step up. She's shot my Walther PPK .380 and likes it but the recoil of that is almost on the edge of her comfort level, that's why I was going to load some easy recoil loads for her to try my PPS.

My wife doesn't shoot, too loud. Funny cuz she turns the tv up so the neighbors can hear it. Anyway, I've been loading a Rainer 124 hp with AA#2 for quite a while now. I think I started at 4gr and worked up but never had a cycling issue in my Sigma or my friends HiPoint.

I find a near-minimum charge of ZIP behind a 124 grain bullet is VERY soft shooting. Ridiculously soft.

Take any fast burning powder - Bullseye, N320, Red Dot, etc. Start at the minimum listed charge in the loading manual and go up 0.1gr at a time until it will consistently work the action. You should be able to get a pretty soft load that will work.
