Well My beloved colt det special DSII needs a new set of grips as the custom boot grip ones I bought from the maker who resides in Lockport, Ny cracked from a fall in the basement off the work bench ( unloaded ). Landed right on the grip and bounced onto the area rug. Wood grips were split like a diamond . Put the stockers on and the gun still shoots were I aim and is flawless, but the stock grips drag material while carried in a pocket holster ( main type for this weapon with Me ) and print, the bootgrips did not . I can not remember the Gripmakers name or I would gladly replace them there . Any Ideas ??????? ......WVleo

Hi, Thats the guy ! Went to His web sight to find His e-mail and it's not listed ( This computer won't let Me access it automatically ) . Could someone post His e-mail please for Me ....WVleo

Considering the cost of the gun, I'd seriously consider Nill or Herrett's. I have a set of Badger plywood stocks on my daily driver pre-agreement Smith & Wesson model 60 that fit my hand just fine and have held up well; I believe, however, that uncommon a Colt revolver deserves classier stocks.
