There are two pics I will try and track down. One was from a guy who dropped his rifle while hunting... he picked it up and forgot to check if anything fell into the barrel. When he fired it, the barrel peeled down the middle. It looks awesome, on display at a gun store round the corner from me. The other was a competative shooter, thought he'd save money on rings/mounts, welded the scope to the barrel. Next round blew the gun to buggery, you couldn't even recognize that it was a gun. Something about heating the barrel to a point where it became weak.
