So... Today on campus a bunch of blissninneys were marching and shouting and I paraphrase (since I don't remember what it was exactly)... "Keep intolerance off campus, Vote NO on the ROTC"

Which struck me as a particularly 'tolerant' thing to say... seeing as how they are trying to legislatively (through the student council) force their beliefs upon those who might believe differently. This poll result will actually be submitted to the governance board and will be used to reflect student opinion on campus.

I'm not going to join the ROTC, but I think its wrong for individual students to be deprived of the choice by those who just have an axe to grind against the military.

So I'm voting YES.

And, since whoever designed the poll is a total assclown, I invite the rest of you to join in, it seems to let you vote as many times as you want, and I think it works from any terminal.

Any help would be appreciated, and if you want to pass this along to other pro 2A groups, military boards etc. I'd like to blow the poll out of the water.

Tolerance is the right of the other person to be wrong in their thoughts and actions insomuch as it does not effect you.

Thank you,

p.s. I apologize if this is inappropriate or posted in the wrong forum

Who rose up against king George and Tyranny?
Who fought to preserve the union and abolish slavery?
Who protected african americans going to school during de-segregation?
Who liberated Europe from Nazi tyranny?

Who protects your college's right to freedom of speech, as well as your life and liberty from all enemies foreign and domestic?

It's a private university. I don't have a problem if they don't want ROTC on their campus.

I did vote yes though.

So is it the University or just some hippie English majors who don't want ROTC?

Voted.

Down here in Texas, ROTC is wholeheartedly welcomed on college campuses. We (Texas Christian University) has two ROTC programs; Army and Air Force.

Maybe there is some argument I am missing here, but I can never understand groups who want to supress other groups when they have 100% free choice to NOT JOIN THAT OTHER GROUP.

People want to force their beliefs on others; has it EVER occurred to these types of people that if they're so against, to just not do it/join it?

Who cares if ROTC is on campus? If you don't like them then don't join them. Simple, done, period. Just because you "allow" a certain group doesn't mean that everyone will suddenly become a member of that group. Go on with your business, children...

yes

yes they recieve gov money for the program.and a lot become officers.and its good training for future life.
the liberal northern colleges got ride of the ROTC.screw them.( colleges):uhoh:
