Never Fired?

Never fired? A Glock model 23. Bought it new in 1988 and it's still in it's original box. Don't ask me why, I don't know?

1, a Savage .22 bolt gun that I picked up for like a $100 bucks at Wally World, just keep forgetting to take it with me when we go. I will shoot everything I buy.

Never been fired? Zero. Never fired by me? Maybe a half-dozen.

I really do need to take the Browning Double Automatic to the range....

Two. Never fired.

One will be soon, when I have a nice day to work up zero/ammo for it.

The other is a Winchester lever gun-
may or may not shoot it. I bought it with good intentions of shooting it. I just can't bring myself to do it.

I purchased a commemorative pistol through my department this year (a para 1911). I've had the thing for about 2-3 months now, and was thinking about not firing it due to the "commemorative" nature of the gun.

But, honestly, I see no point in owning a useless tool. I'm sure I'll get around to firing this gun eventually, I just haven't done so as of yet. I'd rather know how the gun shoots than to just see it sitting in the box and wondering!

Some folks would argue that it will lose collector's value if fired. On the other hand, in my 20+ years of participation in shooting-related activities, I've yet to sell a gun.

So, I have to ask myself if it *really* matters how much the thing would be worth on the secondary market?

well I have 3 kinda. one is a remington 03a3 from 1943 but it has not been shot since it left the factory, also a winchester m1 carbine that was a arsenal rebuild that still looks like new with old cosmoline in the barrel. also a 1944 colt 1911a1 lend lease that was released in 1952 that was only test fired by the factories.
I have others that can be shot so I will keep them like that. I am not counting the smith & wesson's new in the boxes from the 50's and 60's I have.

One a Colt 1911 45 acp department commemorative w/ gold overlay of a patrol car, hellocopter, and badge. It has been in my safe for 25 years. The department has never authorized a 1911 or it would be in my duty holster tomorrow.

One.. My Remington 870 12ga. Got it home from the store, took it out of the box, found broken ejector, put it back in the box, brought it back to the store, and sent it back to Remington to be fixed. Two months I've "owned" this gun, and never fired it :p

Still waiting on news of it's repair/return.

One. Bought two unissued No. 4 Enfields when they first hit the market. 90 bucks each. One is used all the time. The other just sits.

NEVER fired: zero.
Never fired BY ME: two.

Happens when I jump on a good deal on a used firearm that sits in the safe until the appropriate time. But they usually don't sit in that condition long. I have in the past bought a couple of new guns that I never got around to shooting; they were sold for guns I would shoot.

I've never fired my WASR-10, despite having it for about a year and a half. Dont know if it was factory test-fired or not. Not sure why I havent fired it, but I'm sure I'll get around to it eventually.

zero, none, all my guns have a purpose in life they are all "fighting" guns or have the ability to become really quick, i run my guns and i run them hard, if they are lacking in anyway for what i need them for, they are gotten rid of quick.

I have a couple of shoguns that I don't remember shooting but that would be very uncharacteristic of me. I don't normally pick up anything new without a live ammo function test. This does remind me of the guy that bought the only original .45acp chambered Luger (there were two but last I heard, only one could be accounted for) for $1,000,000 and went straight to the range with it.

Never fired? Maybe one of mine hadn't been fired except at the factory, but it's hard to tell for sure. The rest have been fired by me at least with a couple of full magazines..

Add another BP revolver.

I knew deep down when I bought the thing that I wouldn't ever get around to shooting it. But I bought it anyway cause I'm just crazy like that.

i own ZERO guns that are un-fired. i ALWAYS fire my pistols(and my shotgun).

my father has a brand new colt 70 series gold cup trophy national match that's factory fired ONLY.

it's not my preference. i'd fire the darn thing if i we're him!!!
