New 22-250 Lapua Cases

I just bought 100 new 22-250 Lapua cases. I tried putting a .224 BT round into one by hand, just to see how it fit...didn't go in past the boat tail. Do I need to expand the necks on the cases to seat these bullets, or can I just run them in as is?...

Chamfer the necks and seat the bullets.

No bullet should be able to go in the case neck by hand.

If they did, they would fall back out!!!

The new empty brass must fit into the chamber. Just a reminder, as i am sure you know this. Chamfer the necks and seat the bullets. +1

I would suggest taking some time and reading a reloading manual before you start loading. You may find some helpful tips.

I usually run my new brass thru the sizing die before loading them. The sizer probably does not even touch the case, but the expander ball will straighten out any bent case mouths. Then I chamfer the mouth lightly. I trim them after they have been fired the first time.
