New 29-10'S old combats

Here are my new Lew Horton 29-10's wearing older combat grips. The old combats do a great job of handling the recoil of the short barrel .44 mags. The original grips that came with the 29's look good, but were not fun shooting with full house loads.

They are excellent revolvers, if you get the chance to buy one, don't pass it up. You may take some crap from the I hate the lock crowd. But that's fine with me, they don't know what they're missing.:neener:
 
Mine's a 29-10 Bounty Hunter. I've got it on layway. Hopefully I can pick it up on Monday.

Matte blue finish, adjustable sights, full underlug, NO PORTING! I've got a Kramer scabbard coming as well.

Yes, it's going to be a carry gun. Be a bit easier on my belt than my 5" 629 Classic. ;)

I'm probably going to put Pachmayr Compac grips on mine. Not as nice looking as wood, but on a light .44 I like the backstrap to be covered.
