I'm trading into an Undercover Lite (.38 Special) tomorrow and was wondering what to expect. I didn't expect to trade, but I added a couple of things to some ammo I don't have a fun for and a guy offered his Charter! It's a couple months old, he says nothing wrong with it and it's in good working order.

It has an aluminum frame, anodized red...

Anything specifically I should look for on a Charter?
It's rated for +P, are they Ok now to shoot +P through on a regular basis, or still just for carry?

I've seen them in gun shops and always kind of liked them... Looked like a gun you'd throw in your waders and not worry if it got trout on it.

I have always had excellent luck with any of the Charter firearms. In fact I have an OFFDUTY 38Spl now, it is a little older but very easy to carry, hides in pants pocket light enough not to drag your pants down. And shooting is super easy, meaning no dramatic recoil and in a reasonable range you can hit your target. Think you will enjoy it.

It comes with the big rubber grips. Any recommendations on the most pocket friendly grips? Should I pick up a pair of the old Charter wood grips?
