New Gun Safe/Vault Question???

Hello,

Just bought a Sentry Gun Safe/Vault and was wonder if people store there ammo in the safe also?

I have been storing my guns and ammo separatly but would like to consalidate for space and a better HD setup.

I hope I am not just over thinking this one.

I throw all my ammo in the safe. I'm running out of room though so I think I'll get a smaller safe just for ammo.

I only keep the HD ammo in or near my RSC (yeah, not a safe

). I've got a locked cabinet out in my shed for bulk/range ammo storage.

I store some bulk ammo in my safe, with the firearms.
Mainly its the 1,000 round cardboard box of Lake City .223
stuff, and individual bo 50 count boxes of FMC .45's. All of
the JHP's and JSP's are kept in other areas; in case they
are needed very quickly~!

I've never seen a vault quite big enough to hold all my ammo! I figure the best I can do is secure the guns and leave the ammo to fend for itself. Maybe the sheer logistics of having to carry it all up the stairs will deter a would be miscreant.

I'd get a cheap sheet metal locker & store the ammo in that. Save room in your RSC for guns.
