Picked up a Houge Cocobolo(sp?) grip for my SP101 yesterday...looks good..now to shoot it and see how it is....this weekend I'll take a few shots with it...I doubt it will be as nice shooting as the Monogrip..
of grips. I've put Hogue's on my Para's and just replaced the gawdawful grey, banana-peel Miculek grips on my 625 PC with a nice finger-groove set from Hogue.
Took it to the range yesterday...it's not as comfortable as the Monogrip..but it points the same.I shot 100 rounds of 38+p Lawman cleanfire.(which BTW,leaves little in way of dirt and carbon,a breeze to clean the gun after)They were a little snappy.I didn't shoot any 357's though...all in all I like the grips and will leave them on.If I was going to shoot more than 100 rounds or lots of 357's I'd change to the rubber one though....
I recently did the same with my SP101. Replaced the factory grips with the Hogue rubber, then got the cocobolo. I prefer the look of wood, and actually like the feel of it shooting better with the cocobolo than the rubber. I am very pleased with this setup.
