NewB :p

New around here, my name is Eric and I reside in the state of Arkansas.

I don't hunt, I have a hard time taking pleasure in killing anything. I would gladly hunt for my dinner, but as for recreation, no thanks. That being said, I have nothing against hunters, it's just not for me.

I am a fundamentalist gun owner. I believe the 2A was put in place to protect the citizens from a tyrannous gubment and that is why I have them.

I like scary black guns that the libs love to hate. I won't go into detail about what I own, but I've got plenty of fun ones.

First time here

Hello all! I've been a longtime member at AR15.com and when they had a blackout for the past day and a half, I realized that I need a "back-up" weapons forum to call home, and it seems everbody likes this place, so here I am!
I love military weapons and a spat of miscellaneous others. I own an M4gery (Bushmaster 14.5" with lots of goodies on it), an AK47 (WASR-10), a Kimber 1911 TLE and a Glock 17(on lay-away). I have a long laundry list of guns I would really, really like in the collection such as: HK94 (MP5 cloned), Beretta M9, an Uzi, A remington 870 tactical, Mossberg 590, G3, MG42, 1919A4, M2 .50 cal, Barret .50 (M82A1), Tec-9 (yeah, I know....), about 20 variants of the AR15/M16 platform, S&W 500, XD.45, HK USP, S&W M&P, and oh, maybe a couple hundred more! Now, I just have to figure out how to afford them!! I'm a life member of the NRA and write letters to Congress to help when I can. I'm a big techno-nerd. I fix electronics for a living (audio, video, game systems, etc...). I'm a big music nerd also.

So, there you have it. TA-DA!!!!!

Hello from Kentucy

Hello all, a little new here. Been around for a week or two enjoying all the reading and made a post or two. Glad to have found such a respect filled community to be a part of.

I'm 26; work: Producer at a small PBS station, do a little freelance for ESPN, Fox College Sports, etc... fun: enjoy just about any activity that allows me to spend time with family, friends or my American Bulldog (Hank, 180lbs),
of course shooting and learning about things that go bang and learning about work related stuff

My small collection includes: XD 9 SC, Mossberg 590, MAK-90 and a soon to arrive Stag AR-15 (3-L)

Memberships: here, PDO, defensivecarry.com, USCCA, NRA, GOA, NAB and a few others

Thanks, pogostick

Howdy all,
I've been on this site a couple of times searching, so decided to join it. I'm also on defensivecarry.com, texaschlforum.com, therallypoint.org, and glocktalk.com (although don't do much on GT).
I've been around firearms all my life and was fortunate enough to be raised by a dad that loved the outdoors and taught me all the right things. I hope to learn some good stuff here and share what I can. My collection is in the sig.

Hello to all-

I'm new here and sort of new on TFL, I go by Black Adder LXX on both. I live in South Florida, and love both long guns and pistols. I've recently gotten in to MILSURP as I love the history of the pieces. I love taking new shooters out and seeing the light go on when they learn how to safely handle firearms and realize what fun it is.

Kansas Here

Just joined today, here alot about this site. So I jumped on the band wagon. I've got 4 boys, 2 sets of twins. Like target shooting and skateboarding. Taking some gunsmith classes online. Figured I should have I job I enjoy and whats better than guns.

Hi, my name is Jon, i'm new about 43 posts ago, lol. I'm 18 love shooting, especially shotgunning. I'm recently getting into centerfire rifles. My shotgun is an ithaca flues model backdoor gun given to me by my father. my favorite rifle is my winchester model 1906 in mint condition, that i had chambered to take 22lr. But i'm going to say my favorite gun will be my great great grandfathers parker DHE grade shotgun. It's first gotta be passed to my dad then it's going to me. But i guess i can wait, haha. Gonna be shootin that bad boy alot, it's not gonna be a safe gun at all. Alright, talk to you some of you guys on the threads.

Hi, im new to THR, my name is Jarrod. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, been registered for about one. This is my first post :)

I currently own 2 Kahr 9mm pistols, an E9 and a PM9. I also own a GLOCK 30 .45 ACP, a semi-auto romanian AK-47 (AKM), a Mossberk Maverick 88 12 GA. pump, and an old bolt action Swedish Mauser (6.5x55mm) that my father gave to me. I hope to add more soon!

I really like this site and all of the different topics here and look forward to spending a lot of time reading different threads and posting back and forth.

Hi, I am a new member. I am from the UK and have just this week completed the long and arduous task of being able to own a firearm for target shooting. The whole process has taken nine months which first evolves having to join a Home Office approved shooting club of which there are few.

After having been in the club for six months I am then entitled to apply to the police for a Firearms Certificate, they then have to check into my background for criminal convictions and mental illness. After all that I then have to undertake an interview with a police firearms officer and show my case for wanting to own a firearm. The only reason you can legally give is for sporting use and what is more I can only shoot on a Home Office approved range.

I have just purchased a CZ511 .22 semi and have a Mossberg 590 on order with a local gun dealer. The later has to have a 24” barrel fitted as anything shorter is illegal for a shotgun in the UK as presumably it would be to easy to conceal. Unfortunately I cannot own any kind of semi auto centre fire rifle and no handgun of any type or calibre except for black powder muzzle loaders as they have all been completely banned in the last fifteen years or so.

You people have it good in the US as far a gun law goes and no mistake ;)

I'm from Switzerland. I shoot IPSC and I'm a gun collector. Fortunately with have a quite generous gun law. Not those paranoiac like in the UK and some where else in the rest of European Union.
My favorite handgun is my Sphinx AT-2000S and my Colt 1911 Series 70'. And the most "evil looking" gun is my bulgarian made AKM-47 with under folder stock with the 30rd magazine and bajonet attached

P.S.
to over there in the US: don't vote for Hillary Clinton for prasident!

Hi,
Joined a couple of days ago looking for intelligent firearms related discussion. It looks like I've found it.
I've been an active duty Soldier for 15 years now, and have been stationed at Fort Bragg, NC 3 times, Vicenza, Italy once, and 3 miserable years as recruiter in the North East. I've been stationed at Fort Polk, LA since June of last year, and will probably be here another year. Like just about everyone else in the Army, I've played in the recent mid east war games.

My firearms vary from Garands, a Gew 98, an 870, an M4gery, various 9mm, 357mag, and 45ACP pistols. Favorite pistol for now is the Beretta PX4 Storm--nice little 9mm.

I have to apologize

I'm sorry, Ive been a member since may and never really introduced myself.

My name is Tyler, I'm 18 (19 on july 6th) and from south east michigan.
I am really into history and Ive definitely been infected by the mil-surp bug. When I grew up my family never had any firearms, although I had a lot of friends whose families did. I bought my first rifle (ruger 10/22) last fall, since then I have purchased 2 yugoslavian SKSs, an 870 12 gauge, and a Wasr 10. I am about to purchase an Enfield as well as a yugoslavian M48.

I am fortunate because was given a sum of money as a settlement from a car accident when I was a sophomore in highschool. I broke my back and shattered my hip, and ended up with some perminant facial scars. Without that accident, I wouldnt be able to enjoy this hobby/lifestyle.

I am a very positive person and I get along with just about everyone I meet.
I consider myself to be lucky to have been born in this Republic, and lucky to have been granted the right to both defend my life/freedom and enjoy the other benefits of firearm ownership. I love plinking, I love trap and skeet, and I love target shooting.

I am always looking for new people to talk to, dont hesitate to send me a message if youd like.

Hello everyone. I live in Northern Minnesota and enjoy shooting, hunting, and my gun rights! I also work on computers, hotrods, anything mechanical. I play guitar, bass guitar, and drums. I am ready to graduate in the fall with my Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting Design. I am very patriotic and I am finding myself being even more political these days. It seems to be I like the politicians that run this country into the ground, just as long I have guns and ammo! I hope we can get a president in '08 who can both revive this country AND protect my constitutional rights! I dunno what else... oh, I have three kids and two step children. Oldest is 16 and youngest is 2. I continue with hope on teaching them well.

With all that said, ready to start reading and posting.

Hey guys,

My name is Evan and I live in the horrible state of Massachusetts. I am almost old enough to vote (Ron Paul '08 Yeah!). I support RKBA primarily on the basis of supporting the second amendment, but also because they're fun to shoot. I've been lurking for awhile but feel that I should say hi.

FNG

Hello all,

I have been lurking for quite a while and finally decided that this will be home on the net for all things firearm related.

I'm 38, in Atlanta, GA and have recently been re-seduced by firearms. I grew up in rural Michigan and hunted and shot all the time and then spent 10 years in the Army. After the Army I just didn't have time to spend shooting, but at this point in my life I know have more time and the ardent desire to defend my 2A rights.

I recently received my Concealed Weapons Permit (or GFL for my fellow Georgians) and have been on a purchasing spree. I have recently acquired a Springfield XD9 Service, S&W 360sc, Kel-Tec P3-AT, S&W 686 (6"), and Mossberg Maverick 88 Security. Adding this to the ones I have had for a long time, Ruger Mark I (.22LR), Marlin Camp 9 Carbine, and Winchester 1200 12 GA. I am planning on adding to this collection very rapidly with a 1911, AR 15, SKS, and countless others.

I am glad to be here and look forward to spending a lot of time on these forums.

Hi there! Sure hope Ladies are welcomed here......;)

My hubby and I are gun-lovers, and we're all about our second amendment rights! We own a few guns and are constantly on the look out for others that take our fancy. Both of us come from homes wherein guns were a normal part of life.

I belong to other guns forums, and am always looking to learn more, and it sure looks like I'll learn a lot here......

Hello, all.

I stumbled onto this forum while looking for information about shotguns. I'm a member of another gun forum, and decided that having two sources of information is better than just one. ;)

Some info about myself: I'm a college student, working on my B.S. in Computer Science/Multimedia Stds. I'm also the current production manager for the student newspaper. I've been hunting and shooting for as long as I can remember, and and I'm fascinated by just about anything that goes "boom."

Politically, I'm a "little l" libertarian, and its my personal belief that the second amendment, and more specifically the universal right to defend yourself, is the most important right that humans can have. Take away the right to defend yourself, and you are nothing more than chattel, slaves to whomever maintains the current monopoly of force.

Trapped in a Socialist City

Hi Everyone

New member - living in New York City - home of the trouble making mayor.

I am a long time gun owner - now able to come up with some free time to shoot more.

On the positive side - gun club membership in NYC is up. It seems when a radical wants to take away your rights - some people finally wake up
