hi

hi my name is corey and i just got a marlin795:). I love the way is shoots and have not had FTF'S:cool: .

Hi Everyone,

Brand spanking new member here. Today I put some money down on what will be my first weapon -- a SW9VE. I'm a former Marine reservist, but I've never been too into guns. And, yes, I had a combat MOS. I figured I'd oneday end up buying an AR-15, but living in California and having an anti Second Ammendment -- scratch that! -- anti Constitution president pretty much compelled me to get armed now rather than at some ideal time when I have lots more money and time. I'm behind the learning curve, but that's fine for now. I'm excited about my SW9VE, getting out to the range, spraying shots everywhere, and then going back again and again until I'm broke.

Howdy,
I've been a long time lurker and really appreciate this site. I live in the valley of the sun and have been collecting firearms on a casual basis for ten years or so-everything in my safe gets a trip to the range or the desert. My wife and I carry concealed and have for 9 years or so and make weekly treks to hone our skills.I look forward to future comments with Y'all. Stay Safe

Long time lurker finally decided to join. Long time casual Colt collector but love all firearms.

I have lived in west Tennessee all my life except for 3 years the railroad moved me around.

Seems to be a lot of friendly and knowledgeable people here and will do my best to fit in.--MP

Hi everyone,

This is my first thread on this forum and I just wanted to check in to say hello. I'm 55 years old and I hail from Sabattus, ME and have lived in this area all my life.
I've been interested in firearms and shooting ever since I was a "Wee little hay seed". Thank God for my father who took the time to show me at an early age the do's & don'ts of firearms.
I have been reloading for quite some time now. I started dabling in it around 1974. Today I don't buy ammo, just components. I presently reload 9X19,.38/.357,.40 S&W, .45 acp, 5.56X45 & .308. Also, I must have been a crow in a past life bacause when at the range I'm constantly scanning the ground for that sparkly treasure, brass!
As you can imagine by my handle the .45ACP is my favorite. Just love them fattys, especally my 1911-A1 that I built from a kit package from SA that I picked up in 84. The only things orignal left on that gun is the frame and slide. I have been really fortunate while building that gun and working on my other firearms. I am a Tool & Die Maker by trade so all of the fixtures and jigs I have been able to build.
I really enjoy this site and am very impressed with it. I just registered recently and am looking forward to becoming a regular.

Hi everyone!

I chanced upon this site because I've been looking around for a forum with like-minded individuals such as myself. I also like how this forum focuses on social rights and responsibilities as far as firearms are concerned. I guess this means I have to be ready with the amount of information that will be passed around and I just hope that I can contribute my knowledge.

Greetings to all. I found this site looking up gun questions. I own AKs mostly, but do have an AR and an assortment of handguns, shotguns, and other rifles.

Greetings! Grew up on a Texas farm always had a gun, horse, and a Dog. To many years in Buddhist's countries so it bothers me when I kill something..Did not say I will not kill; I just remember growing up, if it moved ( sparrow with a 30.06 ) it was dead, no regrets. Now I pick my targets and always have regrets that they gave their life for me; kinda like a General, hummmmm ...Military (Army) 6-68 to 7-77 flew helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. 8 1/2 years flying Corporate and 25+ years Continental Airlines. (5) handicap golfer an used to be a fair archer but my bow was stolen along with all my guns which were taken after the last hurricane that hit Houston. All unregistered and while some I brought back from overseas others I had since child hood...still pissed about that....Have since moved down to South Texas and am getting back into guns for something to do. Presently own a moss-berg 12 gage pump that kicks so hard with mag shells that if I have to shoot more than twice with it, I'll give up and let the zombies win!!, 3 Ar-15s ( 1 Del-Ton and 2 CMMGs ) with 22 conversions for two of them and a Metro Arms 1911 45acp. (Blush red face..was not going to say anything about the two Walther P22s) Keep one AR as a dedicated night scope (ATN aires mk 350 gen 1.) varmint and zombie popper. Summer in South Texas to hot for daytime hunting and night time you can kill all the Mosquitoes (no regrets) you want!

Hey,
New member from Missouri. I have actually been on the site quite a bit, just never joined. I am mainly a hunter (deer and turkey), but I just enjoy guns of all types. Planning on getting my CCW soon so handgun topics interest me. I also have gotten into coyote hunting a little more the last couple of years and would love to build an AR in the future.

Hi everyone.
I'm a worried Brit who is hoping to emigrate sometime in the next year or so to your great country.
I'm ex-military and feel the call to the land of opportunity :)
Yeah I know it's got it's problems but every country is different and the USA is one of the best in the world, especially for freedoms.

I'm a UK gun owner currently and got myself a Benelli Super 90 M1.
Look forward to hearing from you folks on the boards :)

Hello all,
New Member, though I've been looking at posts here for a while now.
I am interested mostly in home defense, but also big-game hunting. Don't have too much of a gun collection yet, but I'm working on it as the finances allow! Currently just have a Remington 870 Express and a Ruger P95. Am hoping to get my CC permit and a Ruger SP101 some time soon.
Thanks for such an awesome forum, look forward to posting!

G'Day

Hi, I have been reading this forum for a while, decided it was time to join up. I'm from Australia and in Law Enforcement. I shoot IPSC and anything else I can get my hands on. Which is a bit limited here in Oz thanks to some of our firearms laws.

New Guy

Howdy Yall!

Glad to finally join after reading on the side for a year. Being raised in the South, I have been around guns all my life and because my mother had a pistol while I was yet a wee lad, I'm still alive. She did not have to use it, she just let the bad guys see that she had it. :D

I hope my grandchildren will have the freedom I have enjoyed but am afraid it is severely endangered. :cuss:

Lookin forward to learning more!

Just signed up today.

It is good to find a site filled with fellow gun fanatics. I've owned firearms since I was 10. That makes a total of 50 years. (Yeah, I'm old.) I like handguns, shotguns, rifles, smokepoles, bows, boomarangs and anything that goes boom. Then there are deer, dove, hogs, ducks and anything that is in season. Don't know how many guns that I own, but there are several.

Look forward to chatting with you on the boards.

Hi all, started here getting some firearm research questions answered and now I'm a proud member. Hope to contribute to this site. I've mentioned it to some local people already :)

Ok, signed up a couple days ago, so I'm a little slow I guess.
Hi everybody. I've been shooting guns all my life. Not nearly as much as I'd like, but some is better than nothing, right? So, little about me.
Born and raised in Bakersfield, Ca. Right after high school joined the Coast Guard and this December will be 15 years. Did 2 tours in Kodiak Ak, and currently on my third in Florida. Just transferred to Yankeetown Fl. this July and loving it. I like to hunt, camp, shoot targets and fish from my canoe. Mostly have long guns but love all form of hand guns. Currently a CCL is in the works so I can carry my Taurus 85 ultralight .38. Putting money aside for a nice leather paddle holster from that guy in AZ somebody posted the other day. Cyall on the boards.

Hi all.

I'm a new member here, but not new to shooting and weapons in general. I'm more into the hunting side of rifles and handguns, although I have a CCW and routinely carry a handgun for self defense.

I look forward to participating in the discussions and learning something new.

Andy

Hello, I am a total newbie firearm owner from the northcoast of California. I am a lefty and I just purchased my first handgun, a Beretta 92FS.
I like it. Looking forward to asking lots of questions in the handgun forums, after doing a search of course! ; )

I'm Ryan, I'm 18. I've been shooting since I was about 9 or 10 when i joined cub scouts. I started with air rifles, then moved up to .22s then up to bigger guns. I own, a mossberg 12ga shotgun, a .22lr savage rifle, a Yugoslavian 8mm Mauser, A few of my grandpa's shotguns, and I just bought a Walther Pk380.

Howdy. I'm 30 years from Illinois. I was raised on a farm but only hunt occasionally. I got into trapshooting last year and now shoot trap weekly. I also own a 9mm pistol and have a couple rifles I'd like to shoot and plink with more often.

Hey y'all, I'm 24 year old naturalized Texan. Hopefully will be a surgeon one day, but currently muddling my way through school. Started getting interested in guns for the past couple of years. Trying my best to acquire a few fine firearms with what limited funds I currently have.
