New member

Well as a new member, I'd like to say I am a relatively new shooter. I enjoy shooting trap and am just now getting into handgun shooting. Trying to get ready for next years deer season as unexpected automotive repair knocked out funds for Michigan whitetail 2010 season :banghead:. Better hopes for 2011.

Just wanted to say I have been a long time lurker...and finally figured I would make myself official.

Hi my fellow 2A supporters!!!

hello friends I'm very new...I've been looking around here for a little bit now, site looks to be very informative. I like guns because they go bang hope to be around for a while and learn much from this community.

I've posted a couple times over the last couple days, but here's more of an introduction...

I've been lurking for a couple months, and finally got around to joining. I left active duty with the Marine Corps a few months ago after...well, a few years, let's say. I'm a USPSA, PRPSA, Steel Challenge, and IDPA member, and an NRA life member. I've been shooting competitively since college, and shooting and hunting for much longer. These days, I mainly stick to production and single stack USPSA, with the occasional outlaw 3-gun match, because that's what's available around here.

Newbie Here

Hi, I'm new to THR and kinda sorta born again gun enthusiast. I was enamored with firearms from childhood til I hit legal drinkin age. (That wasn't the reason, I was drinking way before I was legal, but it was at that time I moved away from home and lost touch with things.) I'm now in my mid 30's and my priorities are getting straight which is how I come to be here. I'm looking to get back into the hobby, really a lifestyle I guess. I'm looking to get rid of some deadbeats in my old collection and buy some quality arms for hunting & HD. The searches that I used kept landing me on this forum. The more I read, the more I liked it so here I am. I hope to learn as much as I can here. :D

yup, I'm a new member. I work at a pawn shop, and generally like firearms. From flintlocks to the new tatical cool.

Lurked around the site for a while and decided to join. I'm in the Shenandoah Valley where we're still digging out from 8 inches of snow. (That's a pretty big deal around here.)

I like guns and shooting of every kind. Currently I'm messing with an 1975 Marlin M60 to see how accurate I can get it. Trying to explain my wife the need to tinker, I told her I'll keep modifying until it doesn't fire any more, then rebuild it and start over. Women just don't understand some things.

I make leather and kydex holsters and sheaths as a hobby. I like experimenting with crossdraw and reverse draw orientations. I feel like they're overlooked by mainstream manufacturers in spite of their advantages.

Devric here from Canada. I have a small collection, but I shoot them a lot. And I know my name is weird, I don't need that pointed out.

Hi everyone. From Texas, CHL since 96, currently carrying Ruger SR9c with High Noon holster. Love the wealth of information on here!

I mainly enjoy firearms from a self defense/concealed carry point of view, but i do enjoy most types of guns. I have mostly pistols but am slowly getting into rifles. I mainly like tactical-ish guns but dont like all the tacticool attachments. I am active duty Army and love it most of the time. One day when i retire from the Army i want to work and a gun store and play golf 3-4 times a week.

Hi!

I have spent most of my life working overseas in South East Asia in very fortunate circumstances; privileges and exceptions abound in that region for Americans. There was one passion, however, I could never pursue while in these countries due to local governmental fears of the citizens becoming restless. Guns! Finally on my return after 24 years overseas, I vowed to collect, restore and "qualify" ( in the Marine Corps sense of the word ) with every major rifle and carbine used in the U.S. army since we used metal cartridges. This turns out to start with the Springfield Trapdoors and end with the Colt M16 series.

So have been collecting and restoring these guns, but not to the fullest extent; I wanted all of these guns to look the part. Many of these guns had seen decades, in some cases a century or more, of use in and out of war and I want to maintain this look; war is hell and thus I want them to look like they have seen a bit of that.

No gun nut like an old gun nut

Hi, been lurking for over a year and finally joined. After years of raising kids and other issues in life, I found the time to revive my interest in hunting and firearms. Always shot rifles and shotguns, but now have gotten bit by the milsurp bug. Enjoy the wealth of info here and the goal of providing lots of light without the "heat" of other flame boards.

Hello there

Name's Bill. Been kicking around the ol' planet for that last 50 years or so. I've been interested in guns since I was a kid, I remember drawing a picture of a 1911 on the inside lid of my crayon box when I was in 1st grade.

My dad taught me to shoot at the Boy Scout range when I was 7 or 8 with a single shot .22. First gun I bought was a Ruger 10-22 then an Ithaca Featherweight with an additional slug barrel followed closely by a SS Ruger Mini 14. After I turned 21 I bought a Star BM 9mm which I still own and a few years back I bought a first gen Taurus PT111 Millenium in 9mm.

Lived in Washington state until a year ago or so before I moved to Oregon. Working on getting my CCW in Oregon since I had one in WA.

Guess that's about it for now. Looking forward to participating in this forum.

My Name is Aaron I've loved guns since I was a kid I'm now 18 so I bought a couple .22 plinkers and a shotgun. A Marlin 795 and 10/22 and the shot gun is so old it doesn't have a serial number.
