hey guys finanaly registered. anyhow I was bored tonight and went over to dicks sporting goods and acquired a new Savage Model 10 FCPXP.

wierd thing is that its not listed on their site with the particular options that it came with.

The FCPXP thats on savages site is the one with the HS Precision stock that lists for about 2k.

this one doesnt have the HS Precision stock but it does have a fluted barrel which the one on thier site does not have.

It came with a crappy Tasco world class mildot. I will be swapping that out for a nightforce or a leupold mark 4 soon.

here are some pics. let me know what you think. I tossed on a bi-pod that had sitting around.

not a bad little collection at all. What size groups are you seeing out of that accura?

I really like that savage. I'd shoot that scope until it fell apart. At least you could shoot it while you were waiting to get the leupold.

That Tasco isn't going to fall appart your just going to want a more tactical scope...Falcon!

Savage makes really accurate rifles considering the cost! I don't think there is a better "bang for buck" anywhere in the Tactical Bolt gun category. Remington SPS's are pretty good too.

Now there's a guy who knows what to do when he gets bored! That Savage is going to be a GREAT gun. My father-in-law let me shoot his recently and if I didn't already have a primo sporterized VZ-24 with scope... I'd get one of the Savages!
