I read in some gun mag that S&W no longer makes K frame guns. But I saw Model 10, 14, and 67 in S&W's website. As I understand, these are historically K frame guns. Are the newer guns still K frame?

Many places have stated that S&W no longer makes K frames. This info is incorrect. The correct info is that S&W no longer makes K frames chambered for .357 Magnum, which have historically been some of the most popular K frames since they were introduced over 50 years ago.

Hi,

Smith and Wesson still makes a K frame. Its the model 10-14 4 inch barrel. I have one and even though it has the inter lock on the side of the revolver it shoots well. The trigger is a little heavier than the pre-locks but still very controllable. The problem is Smith and Wesson wants over $600 for the revolver. Its basically priced out of the market. I bought mine brand new on gunbroker from a dealer close to where I live. I paid $286 for gun. Anyway, for me the K frame will always be my favorite. I have many pre-lock versions besides the new one and I still love the way the revolver handles, points and shoots accurately. Anyone of my K frame revolvers I will trust to be my HD gun. That's how much I like them.

I believe the current S&W catalog lists only the model 67 K frame. The model 10 has become a member of the Classic line.
