I just picked up a saiga 308 16" with a surefire 20rd mag NIB for $630 out the door. How did I do price wise?

Not bad given the current market. Be sure to give us a range report.

Not a bad price. Be warned, however, that you cannot legally use the 20-round magazine without replacing at least 1 part on your Saiga to satisfy 922(r). Saigas come with 14 foreign parts (including 3 in the magazine). You need to have no more than 10 to use a high-capacity magazine, so you need to replace 1 more countable part. I recommend just installing a new handguard, such as THIS ONE.

I love my Saiga 308.

I have the same one, 16 inch barrel.

I converted mine on the cheap. Put a Tapco trigger group in (warning, the 308 trigger group isn't a 100 percent drop in unlike with most 7.62x39 rifles).

I paid a little less than you but i didn't get the 20 round mag with mine.

I got my Saiga .223 in a similar deal before the election. $350 with free shipping and a 30 round magazine. I calculated it and compared the value compared to other deals and realized I was saving quite a bit of money over others selling just the gun for $290 + shipping.

Pic's coming soon

I won the gun on gunbroker and added my transfer fee to come up with the price. I picked up a WASR-2 last week and a MP15T too. I will post picks when I get them all together.

Now for ammo and mags.

Do your self a favor and pick up a trigger from www.Dinzagarms.com
Dinzag is a great guy and will take care of you. His modified FCG is drop in. Definately convert it. Not only will you be 922r compliant but you will have a better weapon in addition to the fun you have doing it.

$630 sounds a bit high, but probably the going rate today. WDIK.

Okay, that's it. You're going to need to elaborate a bit more on these items. How much did you get these for??

I've been thinking of adding an M&P15T to my AR collection and I'd like to catch the WASR disease as well.

Details

The SW MP15T is from my local dealer and is CT legal ie fixed 6 position stock and no flash supressor for $1500

The WASR-2 is single stack but I am going to convert it to take hi-caps after adding US parts and I paid $465 OTD.

Prices are through the roof now, I used to own a ton of AR's, AK's, Daewoo's, and others but I got out of it for 3-4 years. Now I am paying for my mistake.

well under 600 out the door in my neck of the woods, but I have heard nothing but good things about the gun..

For that price, and with that magazine, I'd expect it to be converted already.

I got a Saiga .223 NIB for $270 back in September, It came with a 10-round mag.
