Not to be a nag, but where is the semiauto version you have been working on? I shot that a while back at the hernando sportsman's club and I have been eager to see it for sale since then.

2400 for a multiple shot bolt action 50 is a pretty sweet deal tho.

edit: have you thought about making a semiauto side feeder in 308 that takes metric FAL mags? I would bet there is a market for FG42 clones.

So you are saying that the 51st person doesn't get their pick of barrel lenght?

Wish I had a good paying job. Maybe in a few years.

The 'mps' files seem to be plain MPEG files. I renamed a couple to 'mpg' and Quicktime (on a Mac) opened them up just fine.

Just the other day I decided to start seriously thinking about buying a 50BMG so this is rather timely. I just wish I had a good opportunity to get my hands on a few before I make a decision. Before I saw this I figured a Serbu was my best bet... but now I actually have a choice in the same price range!

I am not involved with that project anymore - its still a long way from production though. I have looked into building a FG42 copy - but thats a big project too.

You will still get to pick your barrel length but you might have to pay more for a longer ones.

Rest assured if that happens your business will SOAR until the ban actually takes hold. I hit Serbu's webpage when the CA 50 ban went into play and they announced that they had sold more rifles to CA residents in the past week than they had the entire country in the last month.
