New Sig 226 Question

Hello all. I am looking to to purchase a Sig 226 soon. The fit of the gun for me is one of the best I have tried. I currently have a XD9 Tactical and 1911. Both are great.

I am looking to get the Sig 226 Enhanced Elite .40cal. I have also seen the "Sig 226 USPSA Black" and it seems to be pretty much the same as the Enhanced Elite model. Has anyone has experience with either and if there much difference between the two?

Sorry I can't help as far as experience with either as I own plain Jane P226s.

Below are the links to both at SIGs website that may help - check specifications tab also. Looks to me the biggest differences are the sights, the grips, and the finish on the controls.

I've owned the P226 (9/40) and P229 (9-40/357). For me, the P229 shot the 40 s&w better and smoother. Not to say that the P226 wasn't fine. I just felt like the P229 handled the round better. I ended up keeping the P226 in 9mm and the P229 in .40. Sold the others.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I ended up getting the 226 enhanced elite in 9mm. I chose the 9mm as it is cheaper to shoot and with the right ammo not too far behind the .40 ballistics wise. Plus I have my .45 in 1911 for the heavy stuff! I love the SRT trigger on the sig and it shoots great!
