I have a couple of Marlin .22 autoloaders (Model 60 and 75C) that are about 25 years old. Both have the standard birch stock that came on them when new. I've recently seen a nice-looking laminated stock made for the current Marlin 60SS. Does anyone know if a new stock will fit an older Marlin 60? To my knowledge, the only major difference between my guns and the current models has to do with barrel/magazine tube length, which should not affect the stock fit at all. Does anyone know if Marlin has changed something that might affect the inletting of the stock so that a new stock just would not work on an older rifle? Thanks!
