I scored this new acquisition on Saturday at my favorite LGS. It hasn’t been shot much at all, doesn’t even have a turn line. Everything is tight and it locks up very well.

It came with the Hogue finger groove checkered grips as well as Hogue rubber grips. Also came with the plastic box and papers, but not tools.

I got a chance to shoot it this weekend. I did ok but I’m not so sure about the wood grips. They feel comfortable enough, but I always seem to do better with rubber grips. I think the wood grips will be stashed away and the rubber grips installed.

This is my second version of the 586, my other one is a 586-3.

Very nice. Love my 4", and miss the 6" I foolishly traded.

The 586/686 family is a winner. Heck, L frames in general. I wish S&W made more choices in L frame.

Damn fine gun you have there sir. I really enjoy my 4"

I personally love those grips. If you decide to part with them keep me in mind :)
