After some internal debate over several days I placed an order for a S&W 5906 from Summitgunbroker.com for $310. I also ordered 3 hi cap magazines for $18 each. The pistol was was an LE trade in. I paid the extra $20 for the round trigger guard model.

It showed up this week, and I was able to take it to the range today. The pistol had some minor marks on the slide, and required a good cleaning. Once cleaned up, it looks quite nice.

This gun is excellent! I put 250 rounds through it without a hiccup. It is quite accurate and really shoots well. The pistol is heavy because it is stainless, and has no polymer anything, but that does make it an excellent range and house gun.

If you are in the market for a solid pistol in good shape you could certainly do a lot worse than this type of deal.

After the Glock the 5906 has one of the best and fastest trigger resets in a 9mm. A nice smooth shooting gun. All the thrid gen SW's are excellent.

I got my 5906 from Summit two years ago - the last of a run with no magazine disconnects - and was very happy with the deal. I'd buy from him again.

i also have a 5906 from Summit, Great guy to deal with, I have bought quite abit and never had any problems at all! Mark comes highly Recommended from me>.

Hello ir3e971,

I was about to order some of those $18 mags from Summit Gun Broker for my new 5906 from CDNN, and was wondering what condition they were in? The best I have seen anywhere else for 15 round factory S/S Mags seems to be in the high $20's Thanks in advance for the response!

My 5906 is my pride and joy. Id say there is no better deal on a nice 9mm out there. I got mine for $250 but you could pay $600 and id still say your getting the best gun for your money. Enjoy.
