So we went to the Eugene, OR gunshow today and lo and behold! It wasn't me who bought a gun. It was the wife. Although in all honesty it's kind of a shared gun.

We bought a Rossi Stainless Steel .45 Colt Lever Action. A thing of beauty and while the action isn't as smooth as the one on my .22 yet, it's only a matter of time and ammunition.

So, looking at it, it seems pretty straightforward, but how do I go about lubing and cleaning the action?!

Great pick...now get out there and shoot it...I have heard rumors that if you don't shoot 200 rounds the first week it will run away from home...

I used to have one in .454 Casull. Nice shooter. I picked up Steve Young's DVD on tuning the action. Wouldn't be a bad investment. www.stevesgunz.com I never did tune mine, but I will say that I enjoyed watching the DVD.
