I'm not sure what I want to go with on my G26....Standard 3dot, True-Glo TFO, Ameriglo Idot, XS Big Dot, Trij HD etc ....so many choices :banghead:
Help me out with some ideas and comments... thx

I am working at changing all my Glocks over to TFO's, I really like the way they show up in daylight and dark.

I just went with the Glock night sights by Meprolight. They're fine. I have them on my 17 & 26, got them at GSSF matches, about $60 installed.

I love the Ameriglo I-Dot Pros.

2nd choice would be Mepro's

Never tried anything from Truglo but I like the concept.

The ones on Post #3 would be good. I think carry guns should be equipped with rear sights that you can use as a catch for your belt in case you only have one hand free.

I have Meprolights on my G27. They are quality made and I like that the capsules are sealed on them. They provide an excellent sight picture in all levels of light.

Thanks for the replies....I ordered a set of XS Big Dots today. I had them on a G19 I sold awhile ago. The sights were quick and I had no problems using them but I never carried that gun, it just saw use on the range, so I never fully appreciated the Big Dots.
This G26 is strictly carry and HD, so the Big D's will be a great match for it.

I'm not sure what I want to go with on my G26....
After having a set of Trijicon factory night sights on my G17 for years, I'm not a fan of 3-Dot sights. I find 2-dot or bar-dot sights much quicker to aquire. Something like the AmeriGlo Pro I-Dot, XS Express Sights, Heine Straight-Eight Sights, Warren Tactical Sight, etc. They may not what you want for fine target accuracy but I don't think you can beat them for speed.

The combination of tritium with fiber optics in the TFO sights makes them visible night or day. I like them on my Glock 22.

XS Big Dots are not night sights.

Tritium front and rear, so why aren't they night sights?

AFAIK, Glock factory night sights are made by Mepro. I have factory sights on my G26 and had Mepros on my G19. The sights were identical except for the logo on the Mepros.

I've tried and currently use several brands of night sights on my Glocks. The sights I installed on my daily carry G26 are Meprolight 10226, which are made specifically for the G26/27. I like 'em fine. I've also tried the Ameriglo Ghost and half-ghost, as well as the I-dots.

I'd like to install a plain metal rear and a glock night sight on front. I don't think glock ships and I haven't been able to get to Smyrna

If you mail your slide to Glock, they'll install the sights and return the slide to you, postage-paid.

My bad... F-4 shot down by an F-111.
Ironically, the only air-to-air victory by an F-111 was when unarmed EF-111A on the first night of Desert Storm was being pursued by an Iraqi Mirage and headed for the deck. The EF-111A pulled up in time to avoid the ground, but the Mirage did not.
