First line of defense is a 22lb mutt, she isn't dangerous but she sure is loud and relentless. Next up is an old, fat lazy cat that you cant walk down the hall without stepping on (wreeeoowwww!) then you will meet up with me and a 1911 or a XDm .40, both with nite sights and a 150 lumen flashlight in my other hand.

It's great to have pets, especially dogs. They will let you know when someone is close by. Also, dogs can buy you some time to retrive you self defense tools.

I love my dogs more than most people, when asked one time about my Rottie, "did you get him for protection" I quicklly answered, no He has me for that. anyone that messes with my dogs is in more trouble than they ever dreamed of, not from the dogs, they were never taught to be aggressive, I have granddaughters, 1-10, and they never even knocked one over, they caught a few of them when thay were falling with proper placement of a body part, but they know more about loyalty then any person I ever met. They are the best thing that ever happened to me.

Doggie treats to get dog to release from bite (she doesn't really grasp the whole release concept), and leather leash so I don't have to go through the whole making her release again...might get some bandages too, now that I think about it.

Not licensed yet so theres one hunting knife in my bed side table and one in dads, various other knives around the place. Silent but deadly ;) and dont bet too high that i wouldnt use em on someone because you'll need money to back up your losses :D

Alarm: Jack Russell Terrier

Handgun: Glock 17

Shotgun: Maverick 88

If it all goes to hell for some reason I am a decent kickboxer and have a heavy flashlight. Of course a cell phone is next to the bed to inform LEOs they will need to stop by.

A tacticool photo of my mother-in-law when she first wakes up in the morning with........ a recording of her latest rant.

My Benelli M2 tactical standard can then be used to put'em outta their misery.

Mosin Nagant with the bolt open ready to go, and bayonet deployed.

And some kind of handgun if something goes wrong.

I am trying to put the "shock" in shock and awe.
