I was checking out the night-vision scopes (like the Osprey) in the latest Cabelas shooting catalog and got to wondering: what happens to the view during the day? Does it just become a normal 4-power scope in daylight, or do you have to resort to the iron sights?
I notice some high-speed types have two scopes on their M-16/M-4s, and one is presumably magnification and the other night vision. But these scopes in the Cabelas catalog have both abilities, suggesting that you might only need one. Anybody have experience with this?
