anyone have a good solution other than machining piece to get low level sight pattern on 642, needs brighter more visible sights for darker areas.
Terrific piece for IBW shirt or coat-sweater carry. Saved me today with minority dude casing my upscale home housewares store. hi end cooking stuff and capachino machines etc. came in 3 times druppy drawers **** tail out, no i contact shuffle, shuffle, check out isles & 4K$ machines no talkie talkie, just leaves. 3rd time spotted L shape wobbly bulge on right rear hip past centerline which protruded with everystep. mid frame auto-loader. Maybe 3-5 inch mag giggling with every step. Stationed young female young clerk @ rear of counter pretending to discuss magazine article while speaking to 911. Another clerk in rear near bathroom and left rear exit putting pots & stuff in isle as if working (blockage) left 2 clear isles open to front door. Approached with Galco deep cover S$W 642 Federal 100 Hydra-Shok in strong hip slightly rear of front pocket, rear waist band, shirt out (casual place (1/2) apron distracting appearance. No eye contzct or speak, speak, or replys, put my hand on my on 642 - 1/4 draw - perp looked startled and proceeded to leave store. walked up 4 stores and entered another store. All with in 25- 50 sec 1 marked no lights one unmarked no lights one K-9, hit all the stores, cause not sure which he actually went into. Doggie was good, had extra treats for his good work. Never had to draw, but if he had pulled on me/us, I would have taken him out no question. Getting hit in VN was no fun still have 20-40 more years to enjoy. LEO's questioned everyone about incident, no mention of my CCW (with legal permit to carry). Just thanks for benig alert and calm.
