So Mad Chemist did you read the law, or just read his posts?

Read the law

Easy there buddy. He's attempting to become more informed and I congratulated him on that. Been purusing OR CCW laws for quite a while. I'm still searching for a decent index of case law. Any links?

Dropped in to that thread briefly. Didn't feel a good vibe there, so left without posting.

Ad hominem is not a good idea, especially when no reasons for such accusations are stated.

Oregonians eat their own. We come from a long line of cannibals.

Mad Chemist, e-mail [email protected] he can probably give you some links to caselaw and such. He's got it together as far as whats going on with guns in Oregon, and being informed and fighting for our rights.

**EDIT**
Actually yes I have been doing alot of research lately, and have been getting more involved. I've been writing representatives and senators about gun rights. I've had both positive feedback, negative feedback, and more often then not zero feedback as they don't want to hear some of it. Either way it gets to them somehow. The more people who write in supporting gun rights and make it a point that they are a voter whether or not they get a reply the better. All letters are read by someone else, certain ones are forwarded to the person you are writing to. The rest get put down in a book of stats of concerns for the senator/rep to look at. The more marks on that list of stats that say supports gun rights and concealed carry and is a voter, the better. These people want to stay in office. It's also good to write to senators and reps from other states as well which I have also been doing. They will understand you are a voter. If they want to go beyond the state level they WILL listen to you, because without your vote they won't be able to make it into federal politics. GOA website is great for finding your senators and reps and writing them. Plus there are pre-written form letters on gun rights issues you just have to read and sign your name to on there. GOA for those not in the know is Gun Owners of America. You don't have to subscribe to anything or pay anything to use the services there. It's well worth it trust me. I have also recently opened up a new forum for Oregon Gun Owners, http://s15.invisionfree.com/Oregon_Gun_Owners/index.php that is the url if y'all are interested. I'm the only member so far, but if we can get it poppin, it mght be able to do something to get people to take notice. I've also started a yahoo group called oregon gun owners, [email protected] So feel free to go to either one or both. I've got a 4 week old son, and I need to lookout for his rights, and his future. I figured it's high time I stop just being a net weeny and do something.
