100 Rounds of 180 Grain .40 S&W for 18.97. Remington brand. I get a 10% discount (friend who works there) so 17.10 out the door :)

I picked up the last box. I know some won't shop at Wal-Mart...but that's almost as cheap as WWB 165gb FMJ. I'll have to go back and see if they've got more some other time.

Those who will shop there might want to go check it out. They were out of WWB, though...it's my favorite pin shooting round.

You're the second person to tell me it was coming, but the first person to find any. I have been checking my local Wally World for some 230gr JHP 45ACP since I heard about this. No luck yet.

I havent' seen the .45 ACP JHPs yet, but I did pick up 200 rounds of 9mm JHP and 50 rounds of .45 FMJ.

Getting .45 in my area for $9 a box is a great deal.

I haven't tried the 9mm yet, but I'll try to get some chrono results out of my Kahr T9 tomorrow.

Good Shooting

One of our local Wally Worlds ( Lexington North Park) has the Remington Value packs. No one around so I couldn't check the price. I'll try again this evening and let you know.

Outside of the Remington .22 bulk stuff, my local Wally World only carries UMC. The store is only a little over a year old, and I recall only seeing a few boxes of Golden Sabre in 9mm right after they opened. That only lased a month or so and I have never seen it since.

The only JHP Stuff they carry is Federal and Winchester silvertip.

They have it here. Picked up a box of the 115 grain 9mm and shot it through my S&W 908s today. Was priced well, extremely accurate, and not a single malfunction. Must be selling pretty well because the clerk asked me how many boxes I wanted and when I said 1...she was obviously surprised..and clarified "just 1". Will go back tomorrow and correct this mistake and buy 10.

Salem Ohio Wal-Mart keeps the Value packs in. 100 rds winchester white box 45cal. 230 gr. FMJ for $19.00. They never seem to have more than one or two boxes though.

here in az they just got the rem 100 rnd packs in jhp. $23 for 45acp and $14 for get this .38 +p jhp. they have .40 and 9mm too. good deal.

I almost bought a box of the JHPs yesterday. Didn't know anything about their performance, though, and, so, didn't.

Anyone have data on the performance of this model JHP? I was thinking that it might make a good round for my newly-acquired Marline Camp Carbine.

The Walmart on my side of town doesnt have them yet, but the one on the far side does. $13.96 for 100rds of 115gr 9mm JHP

They also had the new brass cased Blazer ammo for $5.46 per 50, which is damned good considering they sold the aluminum cased stuff for $5.86

Yeh, I went to WM the other day to get FMJ's and walked out with an additional box of Rem JHP's 100 count. About the same price as Win White Box FMJ's.

"Anyone in California seen them yet? For some reason I'm kinda doubtful I'll see them around in California. "

Yup,saw the .40 S&W VP in the Vista store

:what: There's hope,hang in there!

I bought a box of 230grn .45acp at the Oxnard CA store this past Sunday. I will be trying them out tomorrow. I also picked up a couple of boxes the .45acp Blazer Brass to try out.

My local wally world has both the remington and the winchester value packs in stock 9mm win 115 fmj $10 and change per 100, rem 115 jhp $13 and change for 100. .45 win 230 fmj around $20/100, rem 230 jhp $23/100. I bought some 9mm remington stuff to try, I have been shooting a lot on the win stuff already.

Local Wal-Mart has the Remington 115gr JHP 9MM in the 100 round value pack for $13.96. I only bought one box to try it out, and havn't had a chance to do it yet. Have never shot Remington in 9MM. If it shoots good I am going to stock up on it.

Been picking up couple boxes of Remington Value Pack in 9mm JHP and 45ACP JHP from local Walmart to test for past few weeks. Finally had some time today...

45ACP JHP
Reliable in my Sig, Glock and Kimber, Colt, SA 1911 pistols (fired 50 - 70 rounds per pistol. Got average of 820 fps from Sig and 840 fps from 5" SA with Kart barrel.

9mm JHP
Reliable in my MkIII Hi-Power, Kimber 9mm, 92FS, P7M8, Sig 226 and Glock 17 but had one FTF with Glock 26 but I think the problem is the mag (fired 40-50 round per pistol). Got average of 1,150 - 1,170 fps from the G-17, Hi-Power and 92FS and 1,090 fps from G-26.

Overall impression is that both calibers seeems to be very reliable in various pistols and gave decent performance. Muzzle flash was visible but not excessive (I was shooting in the afternoon) while the muzzle blast seemed a little excessive for the performance.

At this price I'm going to keep a dozen boxes of each caliber in the SHTF ammo box.
