A recent thread about receiving books from thje NRA
( http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=80387 )
made me think about some other maillings I had received from them. A few years back the NRA sold a book called "The Second Amendment Primer" edited by a man named Les Adams. It was a compliation of writings and articles in defense of the Second in a roughly 4" by 6" format. Later they did another book called "The Bill of Rights Primer" by Adams and Akhil Reed Amar, with similar attention to the BOR.
While I am sure that there was a (large) fund-raising aspect to these offerings, it shows an effort by the NRA to provide educational material to people on the historical aspects and defense of our Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
One more reason why I believe that the NRA is the best national organization to represent us.
