Sounds like good news for the Ohio sportsman.

New law requires wildlife program to keep hunting, fishing fees
    Associated Press

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Gov. Bob Taft signed a bill Thursday requiring the state Division of Wildlife to keep fees it receives from hunters and anglers.

The bill prohibits the Department of Natural Resources from taking fees for fishing and hunting licenses and using them to fund other non-wildlife programs.

Supporters of the legislation say hunters and anglers have been promised in the past that the money wouldn't be used for other purposes.

Hunting and fishing licenses each cost $19 for Ohio residents. There are also special permits for deer and turkey hunting.

The bill becomes law in 90 days.
