Hope everyone's doing well.
I was shuffling through a bag of mixed brass that I'm not even sure where I picked it up from . I've made it through all my clean brass (never happens) and I'm on to some brass prep for another round of loading. This stuff was mostly old rifle brass and looked pretty crusty. The only cases that I found that were useful to me were some 45-70s. I deprimed one and looked inside. It was green and crusty and I decided to scrap it all. But I noticed too these were balloon head cases . dang, those cases must have been hanging around a while. I certainly won't use them but I thought you guys may get kick out of seeing it (maybe not?) . it's a first for me, coming across balloon head cases in mixed brass isn't common these days.
When was the last time you guys came across really old brass in a mixed bag?
I cut the case short because I couldn't get a good picture down in there at full length.
...and yes, I'm bored on quarantine and getting a little antsy .
